Ever feel like the cartoon character with a cloud constantly following him around?  Guess I was having one of those days/ weeks/ months/ years when I wrote this song!!!  Thankfully, by the grace of God, that dark cloud carrying those big bad blues has stopped following me around.

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."  I Peter 5: 7

big bad blues ( 3:24)
words & music by Beth Williams

i got a dark cloud follow me everywhere
and a black cat waitin' when i get there
i got a dark cloud follow me everywhere
a black cat waitin' when i get there
somebody please set me free from the big bad blues

i got a great big river full of my tears,
enough to keep me busy swimmin' for years
i got a great big river full of my tears,
enough to keep me busy swimmin' for years
somebody please set me free from the big bad blues

talkin' bout the big bad blues,
those big bad blues have mercy on me
big bad blues talkin' bout the big bad,
big bad big bad blues
somebody please set me free from the big bad blues

well there's not enough medicine whiskey or wine,
not enough of nothin' ever ease my mind
not enough medicine whiskey or wine,
not enough of nothin' ever ease my mind
somebody please set me free from the big bad blues

i get down on my knees and i pray every night,
the good Lord'll lean down and shine His light
i get down on my knees and i pray every night,
the good Lord'll lean down and shine His light
somebody please set me free from the big bad blues

i used to have a lot of luck till she walked out the door , said the big bad
blues they gonna get you for sure
i used to have a lot of luck 'till she walked out the door, said the big bad
blues they gonna get you for sure
somebody please set me free from the big bad blues
help me now
