I wrote this song for my dad after we lost my mom to cancer in '93.  Who of us doesn't know the pain and complete despair of losing someone we love, and wondering how we will ever be able to carry on?  Or finding ourselves in one of life's difficult situations and not knowing what to do next.

This song deals in solutions.  Sometimes we simply have to keep moving, putting one foot in front of the other, and trusting that God's comfort and grace will carry us through. If we're still on this earth, we're here for a reason and there's something we're meant to do to help others.

I am here on earth for just a little while.  Psalm 119:19

But he said to me "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."  2 Corinthians 12:9

GET UP & MOVE AROUND
words & music by Beth Williams

Sometimes you gotta put one foot in front of the other
and take one step right after another
When it's all you can do to just count one & two
ya gotta put one foot in front of the other

CHORUS
Don't just sit there, get up & move around
Don't just sit there, get up & go downtown
Don't just sit there, don't sit there, you just sit there
Get up & move around

All alone in your sorrow, every night & day
with no hope for tomorrow, and no prayer left to pray
Yeah, I know there's a heart achin', breakin' right in two
But there's only so much healing time can do
the rest is a test, - its up to you

CHORUS
Don't just sit there, get up & move around
Don't just sit there, get up & go downtown
Don't just sit there, don't sit there, you just sit there
Get up & move around

That dark cloud of loneliness won't up & disappear
with you in front of that damn TV, heels dug into fear
Those four walls are closing in on your worried mind
watch out they'll leave you - deaf, dumb & blind
I'm beggin you beggin you, while there's still time
