I once attended a church where I was referred to as a "novice in my Christian walk." I had been on a spiritual path for many years & was surprised to find myself being judged by someone else's standards and expectations.
How often has this happened to each of us? Being judged by "church folk." Or doing the judging ourselves? I've talked to many people who have stopped going to church for this very reason. Build up or break down? Guess it's something we all need to work on. ( Me too.)
Writing this song helped me understand that someone else's opinion of my walk with God doesn't matter...It's between my God & I.
